Monitoring tool or consultancy audit: two different questions

We are often asked whether Inclaria replaces an audit. It does not, and it does not try to. The two answer different questions, and setting them against each other leads to the wrong choice.

What an audit brings

An auditor tests what no engine can test: real keyboard navigation, screen reader rendering, whether a label makes sense, whether a journey holds together. An automated engine covers only a portion of the criteria, roughly a third. The rest requires human judgement, and that is the core of a consultancy's craft.

What an audit cannot bring

It is a snapshot at a date. The site keeps changing: a deployment, a new template, content added by marketing, and the report paid for a few months earlier no longer describes reality. The obligation, meanwhile, is permanent: compliance is not a state, it is upkeep.

What Inclaria does

The time between two audits. Re-analysing the site daily or weekly, alerting when compliance slips, keeping a record of what was measured and when, and producing the accessibility statement from those measurements rather than from an intention.

That is why we present the two as complementary. A client who maintains compliance year-round is also a client who returns to their auditor with a site in better shape.
