What the audit checks
The analysis relies on the automatically testable WCAG 2.2 rules (the technical backbone of the European EN 301 549 standard). It detects in particular:
- insufficient colour contrast, the market's most common failure,
- images without a text alternative,
- links and buttons without an accessible name,
- form fields without a label,
- structural defects: headings, lists, landmarks,
- zoom and viewport traps on mobile.

An automated audit detects the part of accessibility criteria that can be verified from code. Full compliance also requires human checks (real keyboard journeys, content coherence, screen readers). A high score here is an excellent starting point, not proof of compliance.

How to read your score
The score runs from 0 to 100. Defects are ranked by severity: critical (completely blocks some users), serious (makes use very difficult) and moderate. Fix critical defects first: they are often the quickest to address, and the first ones affected users encounter.

Is the audit really free?
Yes. Analysing one page is free with no sign-up. Paid plans add full-site analysis (up to several thousand pages), continuous monitoring and the accessibility statement.
How many pages are analysed?
The free test analyses the page whose address you provide: start with your homepage, then test your key pages (cart, contact, forms). Paid plans analyse the whole site automatically.
Does a good score guarantee legal compliance?
No, and beware of anyone who promises it does. Automated analysis covers the criteria testable from code; full compliance (EAA) also requires manual checks. The score measures your starting point and your progress.
Which standards are used as reference?
WCAG 2.2 level AA, the international standard adopted by the European EN 301 549 norm. It is the reference expected by the European Accessibility Act.
