Remediation
The set of fixes applied to a site to resolve the accessibility problems identified by an audit.
Remediation refers to the corrective work that follows an audit: adjusting contrast, adding text alternatives, labelling forms, fixing keyboard navigation, and so on.
Good remediation fixes the code at the source, in order of priority (critical problems first). It is the opposite of an overlay, which merely adds a layer without repairing anything.
