VPAT / accessibility conformance report
A document detailing, criterion by criterion, the conformance level of a digital product. Often requested by buyers.
The VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) is a standardised accessibility conformance report format. It states, for each criterion, whether the product supports it, partially supports it or not.
Buyers, in particular the public sector and large accounts, often request it before purchasing software or a service. Being able to provide it becomes a commercial argument.
